Game Mechanic Designs
I illustrated and lead visual and animation art direction of all new game mechanics for each new world launch (every 9 weeks). What is a game mechanic? In Two Dots, game mechanics are everything but dots on the board that are designed to provide a more challenging and fun gaming experience. Each game mechanic has it’s own set of rules (i.e. must sink to the bottom of the board, can only burst with a square, etc.). Game mechanics must take into account world theme, how it plays with existing mechanics, how it visually looks on the board, how it animates and ease of understanding to players. I illustrated all game mechanics and directed the various states of animation. Game mechanic design and build process includes many sessions of testing and iterating with animator and engineers.
